SB25-003
On Thursday, April 10, 2025 Colorado’s latest iteration of an assault weapons ban, SB25-003, was signed by Governor Jared Polis alongside bill sponsors Sen Tom Sullivan, Sen Julie Gonzales, Rep Andrew Boesnecker, Rep Meg Froelich.
The law will go into effect August 1, 2026.
On April 3, 2025 more than 100,000 petitions were delivered to Governor Jared Polis’ office from several different gun rights advocacy groups asking him to veto this egregious gun ban.
